A patient-centric approach to Canada’s health care system is not only achievable, but inevitable. At the foundation of this approach is the premise that a significant impact on the health care system will be made by allowing patients to be active participants. As such, patients who want the best health, or the best medical treatment, now have the responsibility to take an active role to seek health information, explore options, contribute and make decisions.
