This article looks at the requirements of hospital boards to engage in specialized education in order to best maintain safety standards and quality of care within hospitals. According to the article, the role that boards play in decision making is critical, and as such the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF) and the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI) have joined together to create an educational system and a comprehensive toolkit for senior hospital executives to use a framework for decision making.
